Our Story
We are a group of scientists, engineers, and programmers shifting the paradigm in permanent magnet electric motor design.
Falcon Power (FP) was founded by Harley McDonald, James Bailey and Matthew McDonald in 2014 to develop advanced motor generator technology based on research performed by James Bailey in electric motors, wind generators and computers since the mid 1990’s. Jim’s work applicable to the current FP efforts, involved the early introduction of FPGA in the design of the HAL1 Supercomputer acquired by the US Navy, his patents on Digital Distributed Reconfigurable Electric Motor USP 7,248,006, Electronic Engine USP 6,046,523 and his work on wind power development. FP currently has 12 patents issued, 24 patents pending and several more about to be filed. Five proof of concept prototypes have been built as well as several preproduction prototypes for potential customers. Falcon Power’s Technology is trade marked as “VTG” – Variable Torque Generation.
